I am a qualified photographer and have a HND in Photography and an Advanced Diploma in Media Production (Photography) and studied at Bournemouth College of Art and Design 1985-1991. I have shown in the National Portrait Gallery London and at the MAC (Prison Works? 1992) I have also had a one man show in Dublin and my work has been seen as far afield as Bosnia. My photographic work is in the permanent collection of the New Birmingham Library, 'People Like Us' The Irish Community in Birmingham 1997 and is part of the 20th Century British Art Collection Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery. I am looking to develop a model portfolio which is portraiture/fashion based working with models of a mature nature both men and women of any age. The personality of the subject is my primary relationship I have had my work published (Architectural/Social Documentary and Portraiture)I am open to ideas and like to work collaboratively with my sitter so the models input and the working relationship is critical and very important in my work as this is where I have produced my best work. I study the fashion publications and photography journals like the BJP. I also have a Post Graduate Diploma from Bristol. More importantly I am looking to create high quality work and at this stage am happy to shoot model portfolios using top end Canon Lenses and Gemini location lighting. If you would like to discuss your requirements or ideas then I'd be very pleased to hear from you. Best Wishes Phil.
