Mystery model who posed in her bra, knickers and suspenders in a busy city centre in the middle of a hail storm is revealed to be a bridal fashion designer

It was the perfect weather for hats and gloves.

However, one woman turned heads as she boldly posed in her lingerie during in the middle of a hail storm.

The mystery model has now revealed herself to be bridal designer, Rebecca Griffiths, 28 and said she put on the raunchy display to help a friend.

Rebecca, 28, stripped off to her bra, knickers and suspenders in Castlefield, Machester.

And she stunned passers by as they walked past in broad daylight and temperatures so cold that the city was pelted with hailstones. 

She explained: 'I was doing a favour for a photographer friend of mine by posing for a lingerie shoot.

'We started at around 1.30pm and finished at 5pm as it started to rain and it was freezing cold - especially as I wasn't wearing that much.'

The 28-year-old fashion designer, who runs bespoke bridal brand Rebecca UK, explained that it was her first time modelling and she got plenty of reaction from passers-by.

She said she wore two outfits and posed at a number of different locations.

'A lot of people were stopping and staring, and there were small crowds forming,' she added. 

'It was certainly an experience!'

The photoshoot was organised by Hulme-based photographer Robert Chowdhry-John, 34, who has used the picturesque Castlefield location before for his agency RCJPHOTOS.

He said: 'My photography celebrates Manchester and the human form. The backdrop is the city I come from and love, with a beautiful lady in front of it.

'I don't think there is anything wrong with that, and I hope people agree. I don't want to be demonised in any way.

'I'm from the local area and would be really annoyed if I was not allowed to use the location.

'There is nothing sleazy about it - I am creating art.

'Rebecca agreed to do the photoshoot after I put out a casting call. It helped me boost my portfolio and helped her boost her confidence.'

Castlefield is a conservation area and also contains bars and restaurants, residential units and office blocks.

One bystander said: 'A lot of people looked pretty shocked and we're doing a double take.

'It's certainly not what you to expect to see if you're taking your family for a walk down the canal.'
