Hi everyone,

I have a question about make-up (assuming most of the TF shoots i do will not include a MUA).

Is there a particular 'type' of make-up that is better for photography?

I don't wear much on a day to day basis so i think i will have to buy something a little more substantial anyway - recommendations for brands/types/combinations of products etc would be much appreciated.

Many thanks,
Protea

Thats a good question , I would imagine a Matte foundation, as other foundations can leave a shiny appearance and under the lights could come off as oily?
Will be interesting too see what other people suggest.

My two fav's which i have used for ever and a day are Clinique Consealer excellent for filling in smile lines around the eyes also any other blemishes also Mac penultimate black eye liner for bringing out my eyes. The lata takes practise but worth it.

They are usually the two brands i use because they work well with my skin, tried benefit etc didnt work and lancome products were way to shinny. Clinique and Mac are quite often found in MUA goodie bags because the range they have pretty much covers so many skin types.

What is worth doing and i did this years ago so try it to find out your best grade/tone pop in to debenhams or boots and have one of the counter girls try some products on you to make sure you get the correct match for your skin. Tell them you model and most of the experienced girls would of had the training to know which products are good for this or alternatively next time your being pampered by a MUA they will guide you.

First ask the photographer, he/or she may have their own ideas but as it's TFCD then they really shouldnt expect an expert job. You have the right idea, ask someone experienced on what they would call a basic kit.
