Hi Shelly,

2011 was pretty good for me, both personally and professionally. MadcowModels has grown a huge amount in the past year, surpassing the target I had set for it at the beginning by a considerable amount.

Going into 2012? I'm not really one for resolutions as such - I prefer targets. So, doubling (plus a bit) the size of the site again by the end of the year is the main one.
In my personal life, I'd like to get back into photography and other hobbies (karting and flying).

Hi,

2011 was good for me all in all. I really got into photography seriously in June and have had some great fun doing shoots and I've met some really nice people.

But, it can be an expensive hobby and as I'm moving house quite soon (another expensive hobby!) I think I'll have to be a bit more selective when choosing the shoots I do in 2012.

Wait.. someone actually *enjoys* moving..? haha.
Good to hear you're enjoying your photography though.

Maybe hobby was not the right word... I certainly don't enjoy it. But it is expensive. A house move fell through last year ans so as not to lose our buyer we rented a flat. Now we have found another place to buy so we're on the move again. Never again!

I am looking forward to doing some planned theme shoots with a number of specific models, most of whom I have shot in the past, plus really want to meet and shoot with some new models, to see how they might inspire me for future themes.

Also plan to invest in some more 1:2:1 training this year with Pixel8 (Paul Tyler) who is an excellent coach and mentor (and very affordable) - Pixel Studio Atworth on here.... (http://www.pixel-8.biz). Really need to crack Speedlights and how to use slave set-ups as a more portab;le solution than my full strobe kit.

Also looking forward to the growth on this site and more active forum discussions and chats

Sadly I also need to get myself back into the ratrace and find some daywork!

Wish you all a Happy and Prosperous New Year

In 2012, i will be shooting several videos... some Music videos, a couple of short Drama's, more preparations and hope to start shooting "The Haunting of Sue Bancroft" (the theme music to this is on my Youtube Channel).
Quite a number of Recording sessions and Album productions from my recording facility, also some more composing of my own music.
And of course, i have several photography themes i wish to produce... so will be looking for suitable models.

Last year was when my modelling really took off and I hope to build on that in 2012.I'd like to do a little more location work maybe and keep to my resolution of eating healthy and keeping fit, having already lost a stone and a half in 8 weeks.Other than that,I'd like to keep busy modelling, meeting new photographers and models etc and keep having fun of course.

I don't do resolutions Every year it was the same, eat healthy, exercise more, and I am still to do any of it. Not that I am lacking willpower, I just don't want to lol. So this year no resolutions at all. I just go with the flow

I am resolved to get my small home studio up and running again, then tackle the main house and the bigger one next to the house. thus saving on travel costs and hire fees.
To shoot 1, possibly 2 good models per month and choose them carefully and mainly from this site as long as it stays open and friendly.
Pay off my overdraft and debts and get back into credit.
Sell stuff I am not using and no longer need.

I'm mindful of the conversation between Alice and the Cheshire Cat - When Alice asked about which way to go with no particular place in mind she was advised that it doesn't matter which way she goes then. Around 1:17 in www.youtube.com/watch?v=lUnqbBgYZmI
I've written a bit about resolutions and goals in my blog for those that might need help with 'focus' - pun intended iankershaw.com/2011/12/golden-goals-for-2012/

Have a great 2012 folks, whatever you have planned.
