I have just seen, in reply to a casting on a site which shall not be named, in which the model stipulates she does not do g/b shoots, a guy reply saying he has a female (he makes a point of saying that) photographer friend who wants to do some shots, saying that they are not pornographic shots and then giving a list of links to examples, all of which are on a porn site.
I'm a little confused as to what is going through his head and frankly why more people like this are turning up...

Just seen the same thread, could be several explanations behind it, maybe he's over enthusiastic, probably hasn't read the models profile/thread properly or he's just chancing his arm.Having posted links to a website who's strapline is "just porn, no bulls**t", he may well find himself in hot water with the site moderators.
As per most industries and vocations, there will always be people who push boundaries and ignore information, sometimes unwittingly, sometimes so blatant it's criminal.

I was very impressed with the models response, she was very professional.

To be fair they were black and white which makes all the difference.

Must admit the next one wasn't much better. Seems a mighty looking professional picture for someone with only one picture on their profile and links to other people's pictures to demonstrate what they are wanting to shoot.

Got to feel sorry for models sometimes.

Just seen the one you mean. Lists his level as intermediate yet like you say only has one photo and said photo looks suspiciously professional.

You really do, I wonder how many people like this they have to deal with on a regular basis.

I think it's all a model can do,a professional approach especially on a public forum carries much more weight and admiration than a behind the scenes slanging match. My mrs gets her fair share of one-liners etc and her response is always the same, treat every enquiry as genuine and reply accordingly until such time as the potential client ultimately can't help themselves and "blows his cover" as it were.

It's such a shame that people get put in such a position that they have to effectively grit their teeth and bear it, it must be upsetting/annoying for them plus it also paints us newer photographers in a bad light most of the time too as it tends to be the 'younger' generation of photographers causing the problems.

On a slightly lighter note re: younger generation, my good lady once received an enquiry from a lad, 16 yrs old, studying photography "online" but nonetheless professional wanting a model for a "milf" shoot for one of his assignments as set by his tutor!!.He went on to say that as he was under 18,he would require a chaperone, but his friend had agreed to do this and had ID to prove he was over 18, or at least he would be come the date of the shoot.
A polite no thank you was offered and received with no further reply,
Regards Wayne.

I wonder if the lad managed to get a shoot arranged and if his course went well.

Wonder why not just ask his mum? Surely he had "old" enough relatives if mum wasn't keen on the idea.

Indeed Poppy, he could have saved his paper round money and he'd have been away.Or offered TFCD even, friends and family discount etc.
Can't blame him for trying I guess,

At least he took no as an answer first time round, more than can be said of some people I guess.
