Christmas is fast approaching and so is the new year, So im looking to get myself a new camera. I currently have a canon 300D but would like to upgrade. My price range is about £200 with or without lens. And looking for something better then what i got now.

So if anyone has a spare, old camera for sale please let me know

Can't help I'm afraid but would suggest you keep your eyes peeled for either a 20D or a 30D (at a push) if you are sticking with the Canon format. (assuming you've got Canon lenses of course) - good luck and think about what your new camera will do for you that your 300D won't - that has to drive the purchase, not simply that you are bored with the 300D and think that a new camera will magically make your pictures better

I would just like a newer camera seeing as ive had mine around two years now. Would be nice to be upto date, ive been looking at the canon 400, but ill keep that in mind.

As thehappydrummer said, stick to Canon. You are use to the brand anyway, plus you most likely have lenses for yours. I would also consider keeping the 300D as a back-up/spare. Not much point in selling it.

A quick scan through eBay shows that the 30D is in and around £200 mark, and the 40D is £100 to £200 pound more. At Christmas you can get some good bargains, as people are eager to sell.

I would check out your local London Camera Exchange, they tend to do some 2nd user equipment and great prices on new kit. Also a store near me in Southampton called City Photographic (google them for website) is great for 2nd user kit. I've bought stuff from them before, including a Nikon D70 for my brother.
