Hi. So far on this site, and in forums, which I look at, but seldom subscribe to I have mainly encountered positive, happy comments and people.

How monderful it would be to hope this continues.

Other sites have degenerated into slanging matches and boasting about who is better or best and formed into small cliques of mutual admiration societies.

I make a point of looking at all new models and togs here and if I like an image I say so and why.
If I don't like any, I keep stummm, say nothing, don't criicise as I know it can hurt some people deeply.

Life is too short, so let's live, love, laugh and be happy.

Have a very merry Christmas or mid winter celebration, very soon daylight increases and days get longer and warmer.

Here here!!
I find myself on Madcow for exactly that reasons you quote, friendly and welcoming, and the same reasons in the negative are behind my sudden departure from another mainstream forum where the topics and conversations are in all honesty nothing short of disgraceful.
I've made more connections here in 1 week than I did elsewhere in a month and long may it continue,
Regards Wayne.

My sentiments entirely. I mostly read other forums, this one seems different somehow, it has got more of a community spirit about it.

Totally agree... compared to other forums, this is definitely the friendliest and most supportive of them all.
Long may it remain so....

Its a sorter new site with honest people. There is websites out there with 1000s of registered members with lets say about 30% are honest. The rest join up and thats it, and some are just pure time wasters. I also arranged my first photo shoot from madcow and I hope to make more.

Hi all. Yes it's been good for me as a newbie. Plenty of of offers of help without critising my first attempts...and goodness knows they could be ripped to shreds!!! Think I'll just stay here with the Madcows for 2012.

Haha so true, maybe we should write like that on this forum, it would be fun and confuse a lot of peeps. On a more serious note, what is with grammar police on other forums?
It is so easy to misspel a word when typing, and in my case (and every lady hopefully can relate to this), I always have a long nails, and typing with those more times then not makes me sound dyslectic. Not to mention that I have to guess which key is which letter because they have all rubbed off, or maybe I just type to hard lol.

People are just to blinkin fussy when it cums too speeeelllllling....

i know of a young model who apoligies for her spelling as she is dyslectic---yet her spelling is normally spot on.

There is nothing wrong with being dyslectic, let alone anything needing apologising for. We cannot judge a person by how good they spell. English is not my first language, but I do not use it as an excuse for bad spelling.

Thank you Storm. And yes you are right, I think that the school sysytem also has a lot to answer for with introduction of doing all the school work on the computer. I cannot remember the last time my kids had to do any writing by hand.

Hmmmm. As the orignal poster of this thred I was getting worried about people going off topic. Especially as I thought it was spelt dyslexic (as in lexicon etc) but as hopefully most of us know what it means, lets get back to being nice, friendly, helpful and good to each other eh?

No need for apologies, or appologys nor apologis even. Please start another thread about bad spelling or bad grama, grammer, granma. But does it matter? To me it is irrelevant, irelevent?

It's just everytime I look in at other modelling/photographer sites I see endless examples of people taking over threads and having private conversations about their favourite topic or hobbyhorse and I'm sick of it.

This thread was simply to say please continue to be nice and welcoming to new people and if you can't say something nice or good about an image, say nothing at all. Merry Christmas.

Fully agree, and credit to James for facilitating such a great site for models, photographers and don't forget the MUA's, to interact and be positive, and indeed to support each other

I think that James is doing a sterling job with the site and there are so many wonderful people here on MC and a lot go out of their way to make people feel welcome when they join up. I have been here since last month and though I am still finding my feet with the worlds of modelling and photography, I have found it an amazing place. Thanks again to all involved and all the wonderful people I have had the pleasure to get to know here.
Marc
