Well after reading through some of the forums today after being away for a while i thought lets have a bit of a festive forum .... So what's everyone got planned for the holiday season are you hanging up your stockings on the walls (it was a must ha-ha)... shooting none stop ... spending it with family or drinking the holiday away ...

Fingers crossed we might get a sprinkling of the white stuff,so camera at the ready,eating and drinking sensibly (currently on a diet),going to the outlaws xmas day,turkey curry and sandwiches etc,silly jumpers and praying Santa got my letter!!

Wayne diet on christmas i'm sure that illegal or should be haha one day is allowed especially on christmas haha ... i also have my penguin jumper at the ready haha i hope you have a fantastic christmas at the outlaws

Penguins, bah! Dont talk to me about penguins. My other half missed the last flight out from Rothera, the British base in Antarctica, so now she'll be spending Christmas on the James Clark Ross as it makes its way slowly back to the Falklands. Not expecting to see her until new years eve. So a bit of a quiet Christmas for me and my kids, who'll be missing their mummy.

Paul Good, my better half flew out to Falklands on Sunday for a 4 month tour of duty so know how you are feeling.
Think we may need to down a glass or two fir them!

Back to the original forum post though, my stockings will be out on several ocassions during the festive season, keeping busy and starting off the New Year in the manner i would like to continue through 2012

Paul, that's a real shame, especially with children,Linzi,If I give up now all is lost and I'll pile it all back on and my santa jumper will be bulging again, I'm sure all will be well on the day,enjoy yours wherever you spend it

Thanks for the kind thoughts.@silkythighslou I certainly appreciate what youre feeling, my other half is away a lot, this is just the first time she's missed christmas since the kids were born.

Not wanting to derail Linzis thread, so as per the original question we shall be eating too much, drinking moderately (I will be, honest), and generally having a good holiday. A little bit of snow wouldnt go amiss either.

Oh jane i am really sorry to hear your other half isn't here for christmas although from what i know of you you will make it a special one ....i really do hope it all works out for you paul and your your wife and children have a amazing christmas i shall be praying for a christmas miracle for you ... oh well my christmas shall be going as follows ... christmas eve play santa christmas morning wake up with my three children and bask in the christmas joy (while wearing my genuine 1983 penguin jumper) after dinner get them to there fathers home and go to my mothers for our annual christmas shin-dig and do some very silly dancing and drinking round the house and as with all of you hoping for snow .... x
