Maybe wait to see if the model makes an effort to make up for the cancellation? For example, the last (and I think only?) time I had to cancel a shoot (a year and a half ago), I made up for it by rescheduling it as a
TFP instead of a paid shoot as it originally was arranged to be. It meant the photographer spent far less money on the shoot, and I told him no rush for the photos as I wouldn't have received them in a paid shoot anyway (as I did the re-arranged shoot to make up for the cancellation).
So perhaps just wait to see what the post-shoot (or lack thereof) communication is like and see if the model offers some sort of compensation towards your inconvenience? Obviously every situation is unique and many factors will be involved, but I think character and professionalism would be a good guide as to what type of feedback (if any) to give.
