From all the Models I've shot with the name Louise seems to be the most popular as either first or second name.

This has been bugging me for a while now, the average age being between 19 to 25 ,so what was the big attraction 25 years ago , Thelma and Louise the film Maybe ? but why not loads of Thelma's as well , can't think of any other instances so Models .
Are you named Louise ?, first or middle name , if so why ?. do you know ? , do you care ? will you tell me ? .
Photographers is there a name more prevalent than others with your models ?

You might be right about the film being an influence, but I was named after the 1920's actress Louise Brooks.
Do a lot of these Louise have Goth mums?
Siouxsie and the Banshees's song Peek a Boo came out in 1988 and Siouxsie Sioux's look at that time was influenced heavily by Louise Brooks.

At last some clues ,Thanks Alexandria ( why not Louise ? ) I've never even heard of Louise Brooks .I never really met thier Mums but I guess they would have grown out of it by their Forties anyway so no clues there , but you could be correct , Thanks Alexandria .x

If we look back in history, the name Louis was virtually unheard of until 1880... it was at this time "Louis Pasteur" discovered the vaccine for Anthrax (A significant event).... it was around this time that the name began to become popular.

The popularity of the name peeked between 1916-1920 when a relatively unknown movie actress left Hollywood for Germany and became very popular all over Europe for her performances in films with a "Very Adult content", her name was "Louise Brooks".
When she returned to Hollywood, she was blacklisted by all the big movie studio's.

The popularity of the name dropped a little until 1935, when a certain Jazz musician became very popular both on stage and in the movie's, he performed with the likes of Tommy Dorsey, Ella Fitzgerald, as well as in films with Bing Crosby... touring England in 1956, the name was Louis Armstrong.

Many of the Louis's of today would have parents and Grand-Parents who were born and raised during the above dates.

P.S.... Since 1970 the name Louis began to decline in popularity, and as of 1988 has fallen below it's pre-1880's level.

We have 65 members on MadcowModels with the name "Louise" anywhere in their name or username.
So that's about 2.4% of the members on the site. That does indeed seem quite high! It'd be interesting to know what is the most popular name on the site, I might have to compile that later..

Interesting James ,my initial ponderance was to do with the amount of Models I have shot with ,the greater majority having the real name or middle name of Louise,plus others that use it as an alias
I would think that the average age of these models Parents would be 45 to 50 ,assuming they would have been an average of twenty years old when giving birth to these Louise's ,I would assume that they would have been influenced by something from their generation , Just like we will have lots of Rhianna's about in twenty years time, probably .
