Just curious about this but when a photographer does a TFP shoot how many images do you edit and give to your model?do you let them choose from all you have taken or do you select the best images... and what time scale do you put on the model getting those images???...from the models point of view what do you expect from the photographer?

I have a TFP contract that spells out what the model can expect, plus what they can or cant do with the photos.

The number they get depends on the shoot, but the exact wording of that part of the contract is

"A cd of full resolution images in jpg format, resized images for web use, and retouched images. Images to be a selection of representative images of those taken on this date."

It usually works out between 10 and 20 images, depending on the number of looks etc.

Similar to PaulGood, I give about 10 edited full res images + websize versions.

I also give a CD of all of the images taken on the day (minus the blinkers/fail shots), as it gives the model a chance to take a look through the photos and maybe pick up some tips from the shots like "Oh that may have worked better if I stood like this, or that, or had my arm here". That CD is low-res though, and they aren't to be used for any other reason other than to learn from.

I have to admit I'm still finding my feet in turning from an amateur to semi-pro photographer, but normally I offer a cd of all images, a photo album of the best photos enlarged, and I also pay the model as I'm gaining experience from their work. Not entirely sure if I'm doing it right, but it seems to be working ok so far.

I'm the same as James , Modls will never like the same pics as me so I let them select .

Subject to how many shots i have taken i give around 12/15 per shoot..i used to show the model all i had taken using a image hosting site but then found out they was using un edited pics of mine so i soon stopped that.
I think the shots a model will want will normally be different to what the photographer wants so i do try to give some of both..most times if im asked i let the model see on camera what ive taken and make a metal note of any she particulary likes.

The number of images given would depend on how the shoot progressed, but i expect to give between 10-20 edited images both full res and low res quality.
I usually go over the images (on PC) right after the shoot with the model, who is invited to select the one's they prefer.
I may email the model copies of the low res images as they are completed, but my delivery time for all images is always less than two week... usually 4-5 working days.

I had some problems with models using unedited versions which I used to give on cd, so now I batch process the shoot through photoshoot reducing and watermarking them ("reference only"), zip and e-mail them to let the model choose. The amount they get varies depending on length of shoot, studio or location etc, but 20 is normal. If there's any others I like that they didn't choose I'll do them as well.

I also learned it's best to make clear beforehand what you're offering, to avoid any misundertandings afterwards

I do some general weeding of images from the shoot and then watermark the rest before uploading a reduced (low res/small size) set to Photobucket (or similar) for the model to make his/her choices.

I don't want to be uploading any more than about 150 images as options. It takes too long otherwise and just makes it more difficult to choose (if faced with 500 or so images).

I offer 10 to 20 full resolution, edited images (depending on the length of the shoot) and aim to deliver them within a week.
