Im really curious as to how many people actually believe in ghosts..do they exsist? are they all in your mind? do you accept them or are you frightened of them..has anyone ever seen one or felt as though theres one close to you?

I'm one of those "I sort of do, sort of don't believe in them" type people. Theres one experience that sticks out in my mind, I was sat in my office at home and it was the middle of the night. I was doing some work, with some headphones on (I can't work without music..), and all of a sudden they flew straight off my head onto the desk infront of me for no apparent reason.
The only reason I've been able to come up with for that happening is maybe I had a spasm, but the headphones flying off and hitting the desk made me jump which made me forget about the spasm in an instant. I don't know if thats what happened, but it seems like the most logical/plausable reason, other than that of some sort of ghost.

I've had other experiences, such as being in a building and hearing a running noise upstairs, after doing a full sweep of the building we couldn't find anyone else there.

I think its fun to think ghosts exists, because it breeds curiosity, but I think most - if not all - experiences I may have had, could be explained logically.

What about you, what are your thoughts/experiences?

Hhmm very interesting experiences James and yes i always look for the reasons on why or what could have caused these things....my studio is located in a 13th century building ive known for a long time things were not quite all it seemed sometimes when im alone and sometime when model shoots have taken place as several models have said i thought i seen a guy over there just..last sunday i worked in the studio for around 8 hours had three models in and a m8 down from Liverpool who is another photographer he also brought a model down with him..the day was going fine untill the girls got changed into lingerie (this is when things usually happen by the way)Paul took one model upstairs to the open area to shoot and i had another model downstairs on paper backgrounds working away....i suggested we stop for a coffee break which the model said great..went into the kitchen area stood there making a coffee and chatting..the model at this stage just had a pair of panties on..made the coffee and passed one over to her then to our amazement the coffe cup i gave to her moved back to where it was while i was making the coffee..a total distance of around 18 inches..we both seen this and couldnt believe our eyes...the model upstairs said someone had been touching her legs she turned around to slap the other photographer only to find him in another part of the room..she told him what had happened but agreed to carry on with the shoot.....the same photographer used 4 fully charged batteries in his camera two of which drained quickly.
This saturday evening im going back to the studio not to shoot models but to set up my ghost hunting equipment and would love a model who is not scared to sit there in lingerie while i see if anything happens again..this thing whatever you want to call it only ever starts messing around when the girls are in lingerie..i can do any other type of photography including nude and dont normally get anything happen but lingerie is something different..are there other explanations for the coffe cup movement or even the touching of girls legs? i dont know but i aim to find out one day soon.
Any models local to Lichfield that is not worried about ghosts is welcome to join us on saturday evening for a couple of hours.

A few years ago i conducted a full investigation at a home where "supernatural" experiences were claimed to have happened.
Investigating were, Myself and four others of varying age and both male and female... all of us only interested in gathering information and evidence one way or the other.
Our equipment consisted of Large scale fixed EMF sensors wired to remote monitors and recorders, Video cameras (normal and Infra-red) each wired to a separate monitor and recorder, Multiple remote microphones fed to a mixing desk and spectrum analyser, Remote digital none-contact thermometers, Ion detector (+ and -).

During the investigation that lasted over 9 months we recorded a great deal of activity across all areas including unexplained sounds/voices, EMF readings that seemed to follow a presence around the building, on video we recorded misty shapes and shadows (We discount "Orbs" as natural phenomenon).

We recorded a 14 year old girl being restrained somehow to her bed in the middle of the night (could it be some kind of "fit"? there is no history of such) the girl can remember the whole episode and claimed to have been awake at the time.
About an hour later, bruises and swelling appeared around her ankles, wrists, neck, thighs and abdomen.

The 16 year old sister on another occasion claimed to have seen a one armed man dressed in an overall walk through the lounge and through a wall.

The Mother and Father (together and on separate) also claimed to have experienced visual and audible incidents.

We experienced electrical appliances switching themselves on and off......

The Family, after inviting the church and other social/welfare organisations to help... eventually moved out of the house (Selling at a loss), as they could no longer live there.
Since the family moved out, the current owners claim to have not experienced anything unusual at the house.

According to our research, the house is built on land that was once a timber yard and saw mill.
There is a record in old press files of an accident where an employee died from injuries sustained.

Also old maps indicate that a Roman road used to pass directly through the lounge.

This was only one of many investigation i have been involved in.
I no longer conduct these investigations, but am still very interested in hearing accounts from others.

Do i believe? ..... Hell YES.

This is something I am extremely interested in! I believe there is something 'ghostly' out there just not in the form that's potrayed in films, books etc.. Very curious as to other peoples experiences, going to pop back onto this thread

Emi i agree..my studio is haunted by something and last saturday night i did a ghost hunt there as i have most of the equipment in anycase even though we only had orbs captured on camera the the digital recording we did was excellent and very informative so much that im planning an all night vigil there as soon as i get a break from shooting.
Many models ive worked with at the studio have commented that someone is watching them or they get the feeling of being watched even though most times theres only myself and the model there..i feel this is an ongoing thing untill i find out for certain but one thing is sure whatever it is there likes girls in lingerie!!!!

It's really strange that your ghosty is at its best when models are in lingerie. I read a story in my full house magazine yesterday (could be complete fiction for all I know but it sounded belivable!) where a girl was forced out of her house for a similar sort of thing..she would feel people touching/making noises when she was getting ready and often her lingerie was strewn around the house. Eventually, it must have got too much and she moved. Kind of similar!

Emi anything is believable and after reading what you said i have known a lot worse..the other sunday i had a photographer down from Liverpool and also a model from Liverpool and two models local to myself all but one model is a member here so if they want to contribute i will leave that upto them but after i have worked with a model i always call her within the hour to see how the shoot went and if in fact she has any concerns...the one model who is not a member of here said her legs was being touched she turned around to slap Paul the other photographer to find he was the other side of the room....the Liverpool model was in the kitchen with myself i made her a cup of coffee i passed the cup of coffee over to her and we stood there talking...we both seen that cup of coffee move upto 18 inches back to where it had been!!! it just slid didnt go airbourne or anything like that....paul the other tog used all of his batteries on what should have been a one battery shoot i think it was 4 he used but will leave paul to say otherwise..theres was strange blue lights that appeared on some shots yet no other lighting was on or being used at that time.
I can shoot nude or portraits and i get no reactions but once the girl is in something like a basque whatever it is there seems to like those very much and this is when the fun generally starts.
The studio is in a 13th century building and a beautiful place to work with many of the original features still intact even though it has been updated to more modern things like kitchen,toilets ect ect...i will keep my fingers crossed one day i will get something with my camera

Well at least two of these things can be explained away Fab .
1: The Blue light was coming from a downstairs strobe that you had put a gel on ,my flash from upstairs was firing your strobe ,was very weird at the time but when we moved to downstairs I noticed it, Solved :0) .

2: During the day I took 600 + shots .I use two batteries in pack ,normally these would give me 400 + shots from a set before exhausting ,I actually used 3 sets of two batteries plus the final set in camera . on recharging at home I found out that one of my chargers appears to be charging at a much lower rate than the other ,which would account for the higher use that day, Solved :0) .

The incident with My model was strange indeed as I was well out of reach ,lol just coming up the stairs. Her expression and reaction was spontaneous and I have no doubt that something alarmed her, her words " someone touched me "," something definately touched my leg " I made light of this and asked if she wanted to stop ,she said no and we carried on ,to my knowledge you were not aware of this happening till later in the evening .
The Happening with the moving cup and the reactions from you both again was spontaneous and i have no doubt that something happened .

I consider myself to be a realist and always logical but these were two things I couldn't explain .

Ps . considering these things happened in daylight hours ,surely it would be better to set up equipment at the same times , see, there it goes again Logic lol .

Pmsl thank you Paul ok thats two of the things sorted if i remember rightly i didnt have a model lamp on the barn door set up i had been using downstairs for the lighting gels so yes i could have left it on by mistake and as for your batteries then get a new charger Paul lol..the next time i want to try to get to the bottom of this i will set up in the daylight..i just hope Bevs got over her shock as i would love to work with her again..now wheres my ghost busting camera ha ha ha
