A nice start but if you resized them yourself it looks like you might have dropped down the number of available colours when you did it hence the banding in the background. You might want to try it again.

Good start Lisa!
You might also want to check your spelling of 'ordinary'

It may be the effect he was trying to create, I have got these things wrong before, but I would suggest it might be worthwhile to send him a link to your gallery, say someone was questioning if the colour bit depth was correct and ask him if could just confirm that they are displaying to him the way that he thinks they should.

Mmmm, something's went a little strange somewhere!

I've stuck the pics on my website now so they can also be viewed there.

Indeed, the banding is a bit weird. I've checked the original uploads they have the same banding.

It is strange though.. how were they sent over, via CD?

I've sent Lisa a pm as I thought it would be a bit longwinded explaining on the forum suggesting it might be the method she uses to extract the photo from her email ie. might be saving a preview as opposed to downloading the attachment. Certainly looks a lot better on your site.

Indeed they do look better on his site, No Ordinary Photography if you and Lisa like, you could send me the versions you uploaded to your site, and I can just replace the files on the server - so Lisa can keep the hit counts and what not.

Edit: Yeah I agree, PGPhotographic, they do look like a low-quality preview that you would expect from some sort of email client.
