Multiple profiles? Hmmmm... I just tried joining as a photographer (in addition to being a model) as I'm a photographer, and my application was denied (I wasn't even given the chance to upload photos yet). I'm assuming this

Personalised photo categories Yeah, definitely a wig. He nicked it from her wardrobe and I had to skewer it to his head with a hat pin through the skull. But I told him it was accupuncture so he was okay:

Personalised photo categories Yeah, and the wig he was wearing looked very much like Miss Piggy's - I don't think she even knows about the shoot yet! Shhhhhhhh...........

Personalised photo categories No, just in the universe of Fi and Nix, haha! Kermit was wearing a lovely blonde wig and dress and we made a banana custard trifle together. Well, Kermit didn't help at all, he just ate it.

Personalised photo categories "Frog" - haha! Yes there was a cross-dressing Kermit the Frog in the custard shoot - he looked lovely! :)

Personalised photo categories I think if we have a cake or marshmallow themed category we'll need a custard themed one, as I've got some pics from a recent custard shoot that need somewhere to live. :)

Going from innocent to adult as of financial difficulty Quick fixes are always tempting. My mum said she worried about me when I was a kid because I was always coming up with crafty ideas and she thought I was going to end up a crook, haha!

Going from innocent to adult as of financial difficulty I'd say that upping your levels due to financial difficulties is something to think carefully about before doing. I've turned down a lot of adult shoots when I could have really used the money, and am very glad I

How much is too much Haha! I was originally going to mention a slide rule instead of calculator... ;)

How much is too much I just have one hourly rate for the reasons given by sbp and Stu-Art. I've always wondered how you'd bill the shoot if it was a combination of several different levels and you charged each level separately. I

New comer comments Hiya Courtney :) As someone who went through the process many moons ago, I'd have to say explore both routes (booking a pro and doing TF). A simple pro-shoot will give you the essentials needed
What do you think? Hiya! :) I think it's a great selection of pics, and I LOVE StrongNick's photo you've currently got up as your profile pic - very eye-catching! I'd definitely recommend sticking around this site
18 year old model needs advice Awww, thanks sunnywigan sweetie! I think Shelly should come up to the studio and play in the wardrobe. John and I have lots of new stuff that hasn't been used yet! :) xx

18 year old model needs advice I like the trashed goth as it reminds me of a student going through Freshers week at Uni and makes me giggle. :) You must let me know if you're coming up this way Shelly so
GWC A can of worms I suspect. I feel the need to very strongly agree with 2 posts here: PGPhotographic: "My understanding is that you have a photographer who is interested in photography ie. the mechanics and aesthetics of it and is constantly

Multiple profiles? Haha! Yeah, I tried sending one up with another email account and had problems too, but I'm sure my knight-in-shining-armour James will help me. :) Anyway, I'm thinking there might not be many people on
New Here :) I love your whole portfolio, but especially the fetishy gothy stuff (I would, though, wouldn't I?). You've got great expressions for that kind of work! :)

New Hourly Rate Section Ah stuff it, it was too tempting to try out James' new toy, haha! I suppose we can always put a note in our "about me" section explaining our rates a bit more in detail (minimum shoot times, etc.).
Posted Viewed 173 times
New Hourly Rate Section I do think the hourly rates section will be helpful for models that charge strictly according to levels and maintain the same rates per hour regardless of other factors. But it might not work quite as well for models

When leaving feedback Maybe wait to see if the model makes an effort to make up for the cancellation? For example, the last (and I think only?) time I had to cancel a shoot (a year and a half ago), I made

MUA or not? An MUA is a great addition to a shoot and can make for some great photos, but I'd suggest also having plenty of pics in your portfolio that were taken not using one. Reason being, on many shoots the

Just added one I think it would be great to see her looking at the camera, but as a total dog lover myself, I think the photo really captures her attitude. She's completely fixated on something off-cam, and nothing you can do

Model work levels - Confusing? I definitely agree that it's very helpful (but not necessary) for photographers to send models images before the shoot if possible to explain some of the ideas/levels they have in mind for the shoot. I find it helps me

Why pretend to be a model..... Maybe you can take their message response rate percentage as equaling the chance they'll turn up to the shoot? ;)
Can topless/glamour models become teachers .. There shouldn't be a problem getting into social care /social work. I was a care assistant in a residential care home for a wee while a few years back while still doing my modelling. I obtained an enhanced

Vital statistics Haha! I see I'm going to need to alter mine already as I'm going with the old two-tiered chest vs. bust measurements. Oh well, it'll just look like I've just had implants or something. :P

Mature Models Thanks m'dears :) Lou - that would be fun, and I might even promise to behave myself, haha! :)
Posted Viewed 2636 times
Vital statistics I don't personally think weight is an important one to have in a portfolio, especially as the overall distribution of fat/muscle can alter someone's appearance to quite a degree. I think individual measurements are more accurate. Plus, if

Vital statistics Sometimes I think it's an uncertainty thing - like does chest size mean underbust or overbust measurement, etc. Other times it's a website thing (I currently have my cup size selected but for some reason it doesn't appear on

Mature Models Haha! So you're saying you've never started out a shoot with a new model by getting out your mobile phone camera, looking at it in a quizzical manner and saying "Now... how does this thing work?...?" ;)
Posted Viewed 2636 times
Mature Models I'm afraid that in my experience "mature photographer" is an oxymoron... if not completely false advertising. ;)
Mature Models I've heard anything from 25+ to 40+ or sometimes older as being "mature". If that's the case, I've either been mature for 11 years now (yeah, people that know me can stop laughing now) or I'm still immature.
